
Project FRESH is a program that was designed to make fresh produce available to low-income and nutritionally-at-risk consumers through Michigan's farmers' markets. The program is administered by the Michigan Department of Community Health in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Michigan State University Extension/Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program and Family Nutrition Program. Women and children (ages 1-4) who are currently enrolled in the WIC program and low income senior citizens are eligible for this program. For more information please visit:
